Diming Your Light....

I had a very interesting conversation with two older woman last night, and they were speaking on why we as woman sometimes tend to dime our own light. It's taught to us woman that your man is suppose to be the head, and i don't argue that, but should you have to dime your own light just for him to shine?  Let's take Oprah for an example. She's a very successful, and powerful woman, who's worked extremely hard to get where she's at. Should she have to dime her light just for her significant other to shine? I believe that no matter how successful a woman is, a man should still be able to lead. I must say though, it takes a strong man to step up and lead the way when he has a very successful woman. It's all in his confidence. We always see Oprah out with her significant other, but she's always leading, and he kinda fades into the background, and goes unnoticed. A woman should never want to lead, but she shouldn't have to dime her light, just so her signifigant other can shine.
